HONEY 3: Dare To Dance Movie Review

Honey 3 Dare To Dance is the third movie of the honey movie series. The story takes place in Cape Town, South Africa. The movie is about a college student named Melea Martin (played by Cassie Ventura) who wants to make a hip-hop styled Romeo and Juliet with her boyfriend Erik Wildwood (played by Kenny Wormald) to honor her mother , but her plans are put on hold because she is being kicked out of school for not being able to pay her tuition.

With determination and hard work She manages to get her hip-hop Romeo and Juliet started with the help of her boyfriend, a few friends and an enemy that later becomes a friend, But there is trouble when Melea asks a Famous music artist Taj Mfeka (played by Clayton Evertson) to help with the music, tension bubbles to the surface between the dancers as Erik believes that Taj is trying to impress Melea and steal her from him, and Ishani Magona (played by Sibo Miambo) Melea newest friend thinks that she is trying to get with Taj whom she loves secretly.

The show is put on hold again, it seems like a hopeless cause to Melea. The love triangle misunderstanding caused Melea boyfriend to leave her and Ishani to quit helping with the show's choreography. Taj later goes to find Ishani to try and clear up the misunderstanding, telling her that he was never interested in Melea and that he was only trying to impress her because he loves her. After Ishani has learned the truth, she and Taj go to see Erik explain the situation. The three then surprises Melea on the radio by promoting her play.

Melea is ecstatic about the news as well as having a sold out theater. The show must go on and they pick up right where they left off in rehearsals, But Melea is unhappy with how Romeo and Juliet's story ends and wants to change the ending.

Show night and the theater is packed with people excited to see the show. The dance choreography is flawless and beautifully done. This movie has a little bit of everything and I enjoyed watching it, I enjoyed the vibrant music that was a bit different from what I use to listening to. Overall, it was a beautifully made dance movie with some drama and love thrown in. I recommend that you watch it and see what Cape Town has to offer as a movie backdrop.
